One Year of ARKa Invest

A year that flew by.

A year ago, two friends sat down with an idea.

Not a grand business plan.
Not a 100-page strategy document.
Just a simple belief:

Money management should feel more personal.

After spending decades around financial markets, banking and wealth, we had seen the industry from many sides. We had also seen the gap. There were plenty of products. Plenty of platforms. Plenty of opinions. But what we felt was missing was someone sitting across the table from a client and asking the more important questions:

What does money mean to you? What are you building towards? What does your family need? What are you worried about? And what should your money actually do for you?

That was the starting point of ARKa Invest. We decided that we didn't want to build just another investment distribution business. We wanted to build a personal wealth management firm, one where investing begins with the person, not the product.

And today, as ARKa turns one, we have something far more valuable than a first-year number.

We have clients who trusted us with their money, their goals and, in many cases, their financial lives.

For that, we are deeply grateful.

We honestly didn't expect this

When we started, we had a fairly ambitious target for Year One. We crossed it. And then we crossed it by a little more than we had imagined. But the most meaningful part isn't the number. It is what happened behind the number. Every conversation with a client has taught us something. A young family trying to balance today's lifestyle with tomorrow's security. A parent planning for a child's education. Someone thinking seriously about retirement for the first time. An entrepreneur whose wealth is concentrated in a business. A family thinking about succession. Someone who has accumulated money but isn't sure what to do with it. And sometimes, simply someone looking for an honest second opinion.

The more people we speak to, the more we realise that wealth management is not really about managing wealth. It is about managing choices. It is about helping people make better decisions when markets are euphoric, when they are frightening, and especially when nobody really knows what happens next.

That is the role we want ARKa to play.

The next year will be different

If Year One was about establishing our philosophy, building trust and proving the model, Year Two is about building the institution.

We intend to expand the range of products and solutions we can offer our clients.

We are working towards creating a dedicated education vertical, because we believe financial literacy should not be a privilege reserved for people who already understand money, and begin exploring the possibility of launching our own fund, subject to the right regulatory framework and investment philosophy.

And we intend to continue to build the team as we grow one client at a time.

But these are not initiatives for the sake of having more products.

Our philosophy will remain unchanged:

The product must fit the person. Never the other way around.

And then there is the world we are investing in

The next year is unlikely to be boring.

Global markets are entering a period where the old assumptions may not work as neatly as they once did.

Interest rates remain important. Bond yields are elevated. Energy prices and geopolitics can quickly change inflation expectations. Central banks are having to balance growth against persistent price pressures. The IMF currently expects global growth to remain positive, but describes the outlook as uneven, with geopolitical and financial repricing risks still present.

For Indian investors, the implications are important.

India continues to have strong structural growth drivers, and recent data has remained resilient. At the same time, higher oil prices, a weaker rupee, global yields and valuation discipline will matter. Recent market commentary has highlighted improving corporate earnings and domestic flows alongside these external risks.

So we enter the next year with neither excessive optimism nor unnecessary pessimism.

We enter it prepared.

Because markets don't need us to predict the future.

They need us to prepare for different futures.

There will be corrections.

There will be rallies.

There will be periods when one asset class looks irresistible and another looks forgotten.

There will be headlines telling investors to buy.

And there will be headlines telling them to sell.

Our job is not to react to every headline.

Our job is to keep bringing the conversation back to the plan.

India is changing. So should the way we manage money.

For Indian investors, the opportunity over the coming decade is significant.

But opportunity doesn't automatically translate into wealth.

The difference is often discipline.

Asset allocation.
Diversification.
Time horizon.
Tax efficiency.
Liquidity.
Risk management.
And, perhaps most importantly, behaviour.

India's growth story is powerful, but no individual investor should confuse the growth of an economy with a guarantee of returns from every investment.

That distinction matters.

We want our clients to participate in India's growth while also understanding that wealth creation is a journey, not a market cycle.

One year down. The real journey begins now.

There is something wonderfully humbling about building a business with two friends, a conversation and a belief.

We started ARKa because we thought there was a better way to approach money.

One year later, our conviction in that idea is stronger, not because everything has gone perfectly, but because of the hundreds of conversations that have shown us how deeply people value someone who genuinely listens.

To every client who trusted us:

Thank you.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to manage your money.

Thank you for referring us to your friends and family.

Thank you for questioning & challenging us.

And thank you for allowing us to become a small part of some very important decisions in your lives.

We don't take that responsibility lightly.

We also know that the first year is the easy part compared with building something that lasts.

So, as we enter Year Two, our ambition is bigger, but our philosophy remains simple.

More knowledge.
More products.
More capability.
More technology.
More education.
More access.
And above all, more personalisation.

We don't want ARKa Invest to become the biggest wealth management firm.

We want it to become a firm that people trust when the financial decisions become important.

A firm where clients know there is someone on their side of the table.

A firm that thinks beyond the next quarter, the next fund or the next market cycle.

And a firm that can eventually look back years from now and say:

We didn't just manage money. We helped people make better lives possible with it.

One year is a milestone.

But for us, it is not a celebration of what we have built.

It is a reminder of what we have committed ourselves to building.

The real deal starts now.

With gratitude,

Ashish & Rahul

Co-founders, ARKa Invest

One year. One philosophy. A much longer journey ahead.
